4th of July with Pentatonix at the Hollywood Bowl

4 de Julio con Pentatonix en el Hollywood Bowl 

One of the events I planned to go to with my daughter and if I had known it was so amazing I would have bought tickets for the three days they had Pentatonix, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West and fireworks. (All three days were sold out with over 17,000 spectators, yes, 17,000!)

Uno de los eventos que había planeado con mi hija, y de haber sabido que iba a ser tan increíble, hubiera comprado entradas para los tres días que se presentaron Pentatonix, la orquesta del Hollywood Bowl, la Banda de la Fuerza Aérea NorteAmericana del Golden West, y que a parte de todo esto, hubo fuegos artificiales en celebración del 4 de julio. (Los tres días fueron vendidas todas las entradas en su totalidad, y cada dia tuvimos más de 17,000 personas el gusto de disfrutar este espectáculo!)

It started with the national anthem and a tribute of respect and recognition to all the attendees who have served, or are in active duty. The official song of each branch of the military was played, having the veterans and active military stand up while their song played. This was a moment were many of us could not hold in our tears.

Empezó con el himno nacional de Estados Unidos y un tributo lleno de respeto y reconocimiento a todos los asistentes que han formado parte o forman parte de las fuerzas armadas NorteAmericanas. Fue inevitable contener las lágrimas cuando sonó la canción oficial de cada rama militar y cuando a medida que sonaba se ponían de pie veteranos de guerra y todos los que forman parte de las fuerzas armadas.

Then Pentatonix came! It was A M A Z I N G! The sound, the respect of each one of the 17,000+ spectators while listening in complete silence and of course,  getting excited at times where all the admiration for their voices had to come out to let them know!

Luego llegó Pentatonix! I N C R E I B L E! El sonido, y el respeto de cada uno de los más de 17,000 espectadores escuchando en completo silencio. Por supuesto que hubo momentos en los que la emoción al escucharlos no se podía guardar en silencio y se escuchaban coros y aplausos de admiración.

After Pentatonix performed it was time for the fireworks spectacular, and oh my, was it spectacular! A display of fireworks while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra played along with the U.S Air Force Band of the Golden West! Wow, wow, wow! And the night ended with Pentatonix joining one more time, and sharing their talent along with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

Después del concierto de Pentatonix llegó otro momento muy esperado, los fuegos artificiales. En el Hollywood Bowl lo llaman ‘Fireworks Spectacular’, y si que son espectaculares! Hubo momentos en los que estaban sincronizados los sonidos de la Orquesta del Hollywood Bowl y la Banda de la Fuerza Aérea NorteAmericana del Golden West, con los colores y momento de los fuegos artificiales. ¡Hermosisimo! Después de ese show increíble de luces, colores y sonido, regresó Pentatonix para unirse a la Orquesta del Hollywood Bowl y a la Banda de la Fuerza Aérea NorteAmericana del Golden West, para cerrar la noche.

But enough of the details in writing. I was able to capture some bits and pieces of the night, of course the video doesn’t do it justice, but I hope it shares some of the amazing moments of the night!

Bueno, ya no escribo más. Mejor comparto pedacitos que pude capturar de la noche (aunque el video no le hace justicia).

¡Definitivamente un 4 de julio (Día de la Independencia de Estados Unidos) para recordar!
